The 8@69
Development is a 70 acre commercial development on Interstate 69 in Auburn,
Indiana. It is anchored by a Home Depot and can support an additional
190,000 s.f. retail and related commercial space. A 32,000 s.f., 8 screen,
state-of-the-art cinema is now open. The site has
additional outlots for restaurants and other free standing users. Cracker
Barrel and Fire Mountain are already open.
16,000 sf of retail is also completed and ready for lease.
Interstate 69 and US Highway 8 serve as the main commercial axes of Auburn.
An important critical mass of retail, restaurants, motels, and other highway
commercial users line both sides of the Highway and extend from I-69 to the
downtown of Auburn.
The site enjoys complete and unobstructed visibility from I-69 along its
east boundary and offers convenient access off of US Highway 8. Traffic
counts, when combined, approach 50,000 cars a day. I-69, US-8 and US-6
afford excellent access from the City of Auburn as well as the surrounding
communities of Kendallville, Garrett, Avilla, Waterloo, Butler, Ashley,
Hudson and Angola.
4 miles south of the site, on I-69, is the Kruse International Park, which
houses the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Festival and Auction (one of the 100
largest events in the country.) Located at the same interchange is the World War
II Museum. Located 24 miles north (just out of the trade area) is Pokagon
Indiana State Park. The Indiana Toll Road is 27 miles north.
